Careers & VET

The journey beyond Marymount begins long before graduation. From Years 7–12, students are supported to explore their strengths, discover their interests and imagine the futures they want to create. Our Careers Centre and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs work together to guide young people toward pathways that feel purposeful, achievable and uniquely their own.

Careers Centre

Located in the P&F Courtyard, the Marymount College Careers Centre is open to students from all year levels. It is a welcoming space where students can seek advice, explore opportunities and begin shaping their next steps with confidence.

Here, students can:

  • Explore university, TAFE, apprenticeship and traineeship pathways
  • Receive personalised guidance on subject selection
  • Access resources on careers, courses and industry trends
  • Connect with staff who walk alongside them as they plan for life after school

Vocational Education & Training (VET)

VET at Marymount College offers students practical, hands on learning that connects directly to the world of work. As part of Australia’s broader education network, VET provides pathways that sit alongside school subjects, university study and community education.

  • Our VET program allows students to:
  • Gain nationally recognised qualifications
  • Develop industry relevant skills
  • Experience real world learning environments
  • Build confidence as they prepare for employment or further training

All VET courses are delivered in partnership with external Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), ensuring high quality training and accreditation. For more information, email careers@marymount.qld.edu.au
