Indigenous Mentoring

Marymount College's Indigenous Program is a place of connection, culture and belonging offering advocacy, pastoral care, cultural enrichment and pathways guidance for students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

A Community With Heart

Our Indigenous students call themselves the Marymount Mob (MMC Mob) — a close‑knit group who look out for one another, celebrate culture together and lead with quiet strength. Through their Peer Mentor program, older students support younger ones, creating a circle of care that reflects the deep value placed on community and kinship.

Walking Together

The Mob connects regularly with Indigenous students from Marymount Primary School, forming bonds that make the transition to high school feel natural, supported and grounded in community. These relationships help younger students feel seen, welcomed and ready for the next step in their journey.

Culture, Support and Future Pathways

The Indigenous Program blends cultural enrichment with academic and wellbeing support, ensuring students feel anchored in their identity while exploring the opportunities ahead. It is a place where culture is honoured, voices are valued and young people are encouraged to imagine a future shaped by their strengths.
