High School Model United Nations


The prestigious Bond University High School Model United Nations was held over two days on the 9th and 10th of May. 

Almost 200 students represented 19 high schools; this was the largest ever. Eleven Marymount College students participated along with Mr Garrett Fitzgerald, representing the countries of Peru and Bangladesh. 

This was a Model UN with a difference, as it was aligned with the topical international United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 Zero Hunger: Providing food and humanitarian relief, establishing sustainable food production. Students researched and represented a delegation for a country, just like the real United Nations. 

The new Model United Nations Marymount will be participating in The Southport School (TSS) Model United Nations Conference in July.
