​The Library provides a welcoming, comfortable environment for students to study, research or read. We value and promote lifelong learning, providing students and staff with access to reading for pleasure or research and specialised support in the form of books and online resources.

Opening hours

Open from 8:00 am – 3:30pm every day

Library Staff

Library staff are always available to help with recommendations and locating resources for reading and research.
Mrs Janet Cartlidge is the Teacher Librarian, Mrs Catherine McCosker is the Library & Information Services Officer,
​and Miss Jessica Lewis is our Library Information Technician.

Makerspace

We run a Makerspace during Lunchtimes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where students have a choice of fun STEAM activities to help them learn and test their creative and problem-solving skills, out of the classroom with no pressure.

Reading

Students are encouraged to borrow from our wide selection of books, ebooks and audiobooks at anytime. We run promotional activities, such as a book club, the Premiers’ Reading Challenge and Readers Cup, as well as displays and competitions at various times of the year for book voucher prizes.

Printing and photocopying

We have printing/photocopying machines in the Library, available to all students and staff.

Homework Club

The Library is open every Thursday until 4:00pm, under the supervision of teachers who offer assistance with homework and assignments.

IT Help Desk

The IT HelpDesk is located within the Library and IT staff assist students with their Mac software and hardware problems. Laptop charging stations are available.


Texthire Room

Texthire is located in the Library and open every day from 8:00am- 2:30pm for text pickup.​
